To Würzburg
Würzburg is reasonably well connected in the German railway network, so if you're traveling nationally or from a neighbouring country, that may be your best option. See for details.
The nearest airports are Frankfurt (120 km, recommended), Nuremberg (100 km, small), Stuttgart (150 km, poorly connected) and Munich (280 km). From there, you can get to Würzburg directly by train. For further information visit
To get from downtown to the workshop venue, use bus line 14 to "Am Hubland" (direction "Gerbrunn"), or bus line 114 or 214 to "Philosophisches Institut" (direction "Hubland/Mensa" or "FHWS"). You can get onto any of these bus lines at "Hauptbahnhof", "Barbarossaplatz" or "Mainfranken Theater". The bus ride takes roughly 15 minutes.
To get back downtown, use the same bus lines (14, 114, 214) in the direction "Würzburg Hbf" or "Hauptbahnhof".
